Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MoveLane website and services (the "Service") operated by MoveLane ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
MoveLane is a UK-based property portal operated as a sole trader. We operate an online property marketplace based in the United Kingdom, allowing estate agents and letting agents to advertise UK property, and buyers and renters to search and contact them.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, are used unlawfully, or where we reasonably believe action is necessary to protect the Service or its users.
3. Listings and content
Estate agents and other listing users ("Advertisers") are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and completeness of the property listings, images and other content they submit. Property listings on MoveLane are not offers capable of acceptance and do not form part of any contract for the sale or letting of property.
You warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to any content you upload and grant MoveLane a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service.
We may remove or refuse to display content that we reasonably consider:
- misleading, fraudulent or in breach of applicable law;
- infringing intellectual property or privacy rights;
- discriminatory, offensive or otherwise unlawful; or
- in breach of these Terms.
4. Subscriptions and payments
Some features are available on paid subscription plans. Prices, features and free trial terms are described on our Pricing page. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
5. Enquiries and third parties
When you submit a property enquiry, your details are shared with the relevant Advertiser so they can contact you. MoveLane is not a party to any transaction between you and an Advertiser and does not provide legal, financial, mortgage, surveying or conveyancing advice.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- scrape, copy or resell listings or other content without written permission;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- upload viruses, malware or other harmful code;
- use the Service to send unsolicited communications or spam;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, its design, source code, database structure, logos and trade marks are owned by MoveLane or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including as to accuracy of listings, availability of the Service, or fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law. Subject to that, MoveLane is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of business, or loss of data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is capped at the greater of £100 and the fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to your mandatory rights as a consumer.
